More books

So we've covered the "I-have-no-willpower" thing here a couple of times, right? Yeah, I thought so. Today I went out and bought more books. Lace Style by Ann Budd and Pam Allen, Yarn Harlot: The Secret Life of a Knitter by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, Killing Yourself to Live by Chuck Klosterman, and another Agatha Christie (The A.B.C. Murders). I got a gift card for my birthday, and I'm surprised it lasted this long.

I'm going to take the Klosterman and Yarn Harlot books on vacation with me tomorrow. I've never read a Yarn Harlot book before (I know, I know!), so I'm excited. I've already read a teeny tiny bit of it in the bookstore, but I'm not letting myself read any more. It'll be perfect with a margarita next to the pool. The Chuck Klosterman one just sounds hilarious. I've been wanting to read it for a while, and when I saw it on the discount table I just had to get it.

Nothing much knitting-wise ... I've decided I like the Welt Fantastic sock. The first one is almost finished; just a few more rounds before I can start the toe. That's going with me to Vegas, too.

Oh, and did I mention I'm going to Vegas? To lay by the pool? And drink margaritas? And get a massage? For five days? Did I mention that?

I've read Klosterman's other book "Sex, Drugs, and coco puffs." He's a very funny writer. Hope this one is as good. And the ABC Murders is one of my favorite Poirot books.

Have fun in Vegas!

Vegas. So jealous. I went for New Years a few years ago. It's a good time!
