Luckily this pattern is easy and fast. I got to the point where I could finish one in under an hour, including weaving in ends and several interruptions. (I've decided my new "happy place" is anywhere, inside or out, where I can sit and knit with no distractions. If you know of a place like that, let me know.)
So now I can start my Seascape and mittens! It all started with my sister moving to Philadelphia. She's a little apprehensive about the winters there, because, let's face it, Arkansas winters aren't much ... and she already hated those. So I've promised her mittens. In the last Books and More swap, I got a kit to make the Blackberry Mittens from Blackberry Ridge. I'm probably an idiot for attempting these as my first stranded pattern, but I'll give it a shot.
Then, about a week ago, some of the women in the Traveling Scarves group mentioned making the Seascape, and I got talked into an informal KAL. I figure it can be a scarf to go with the mittens. I'm really, really excited about both projects.
Now watch me screw them both up.
Oh, and I got this today:

you should knit a LOT of stuff for your sister-- i actually love winter, love snow, love being cold... and The Boy and i walked 7-8 blocks in philadelphia this winter and agreed that it was the coldest either of us had ever been. she needs a lot of things. this is good news for you.
your mini mittens are so cute!!!
Your minis are fabulous! Once you get going, it is hard to stop, I find.
Sorry about your ipod, by the way, but I like the color of your new one.
So, let me know when you are going to cast on for the mittens and I'll wait a few days (to give you a head start ; ) and cast on too. heh heh.
