Do I have to?

There's been lots of knitting going on around here, so much so it was almost stressing me out there for a minute. I spent most of last week churning out mini mittens for my swap on Ravelry. I got them out on time, though! I also had a swap package to put together and send out by the 15th, and another one to get out this week. I've got to remember to stop with the swaps. (Oops. Too late.)

Once I got the "obligations" out of the way, I started in on the gift knitting. Jamie (the sister in Philly) already took my Scrunchie scarf (Rav link), so I made her the Peekaboo mittens from my last post to go with them. Then I figured, what the hell, and made her a Foliage hat. Out of my Malabrigo, no less. I really, really, really, really want to keep it. I love the color, I love the pattern, and knitting it was the gift knitting trifecta--fast, fun, and easy.

I expect incredible things from you for Christmas this year, Jamie. ;)

Next up from my queue is more gift knitting: a hat, a market bag, and some fingerless mitts for a couple of college friends, and a hat for Squirt. I'll try and squeeze in Monkey's bolero, too, since I'd like her to wear it sometime this winter while it still fits.

Oh man, isn't it great to have all those minis out? I mean, I loved knitting them and all, and I loved getting them, but the deadline kept looming.

Isn't that the best hat ever? Finished in hours and impressive too. And I must find me some Mmmmm of that color.
